I feel like there are a few kinds of silences that we experience…

The kind of silence we share together with someone, This for me is the most beautiful silence..

Then there’s the silence of being apart, Which is the most painful silence..

And then there’s the silence of yourself, in place of the sounds of nature, which is the most enlightening silence…

And then there is a final silence… One that is met with things such as death.. Where you know there’s no chance to ever hear such sounds again..

It's one of the things that I try not to think about, that because of tinnitus I'll never have silence again. I imagine if the tinnitus suddenly stopped I'd almost feel deafened by the silence.

@SW-User What caused the tinnitus?

And yeah I imagine after readjusting to one, going back to another would take some getting used to..

@AuRevoir I have no idea really. It came on a time of a lot of stress, but I don't know if it was noise induced hearing damage or otherwise. I was never one for crazy loud music or concerts.

@SW-User I have a feeling it could have been teeth related.. like if you were grinding teeth from stress in your sleep or anything…

Bit hard on something.. etc..

My Nonny got all her hearing problems from a terrible dentist..
