I Cut Myself Because Of Depression

I am a former cutter myself. I relapse occasionally when things are really bad. I try hard not to but its either that or drugs. I'd rather cut myself. It doesn't hurt anyone else..

In my previous reply should have also suggested you consider being branded if you want and need pain in your flesh. I think many extreme body modders actually are covering up a similar urge from depression. I even know one girl who has one eye blinded deliberately for this reason!
I take you seriously but have suggested these things so your body can look more decorated instead of ruined. Or is that part of the release?

How would you feel about being scarified, pierced or tattooed instead of aimless cutting?

I have tats and piercings. It makes me feel better to cut. It releases the pain.. Getting tattoos is, for me, a euphoric feeling. I love the pain of a tattoo. I've always wanted to try body suspension and branding. Why are you against tattoos and piercing blossomingangel?

It isn't easy. You will have to endure pain. Just know that it is for your greater good. Each slip up is a step backwards.

It's the same urge that drove me to drugs, I believe so anyway. Stay strong. The strong survive.
