Has anybody else been to therapy? [I Am Depressed]

I've done a couple sessions so far after putting it off and trying to keep my mental problems to myself for the past 15 years or so. Hoping it does something, though I imagine it's going to take years to undo my thought patterns lol.

I have gone a few different times in my life. It helped me process the damage done from the abuse I suffered. It’s helped me understand the relationships in my family more. I’d like to go back again when I can afford it to address my own self destruct patterns.
