how do you get over someone you love? [I Am Alone And Depressed]

especially if she is your best friend
JupiterDreams · 31-35
As cliché as it sounds... time. Lots of crying. But time will help.

Time. It’s always time. Sometimes sooner. Sometimes later.

Time and acceptance that you can continue with your life without them. Distraction and new hobbies help.

@SW-User I mean I'm better now being okay with being alone it's just that it's hard trying to get over it when she asks to hangout and her boyfriend was there who was and still kinda is my friend it's just that when i confessed my feelings before they both been know how i felt but were already dating by then and didn't know to tell me. so now I just don't know what to do I know they still care and want to be friends it's hard for me

@AzazelHarvestar I wouldn't be able to stay in touch with them as nothing. I would stay away from them distance is necessary

A year and a half later and I'm still trying to figure that out. But the moments of sadness are shorter and farther apart.
Move on and get on with your life.

You don't have to get over anything and you can't just erase good memories.
Crying, self harm, depression, substance abuse, therapy, medication.
Stay away from her, try to learn a new hobby that will help you make new friends.

I remind myself that I'm not capable of love. Then I laugh about my silly mistake. 😊

Out of sight out of mind block them and get rid of everything that reminds you of them leave and the rest to time
AzazelHarvestar · 26-30, M
@SW-User i already did that a while ago turned out she was already dating my friend and didn't know how to tell me because they already knew how i felt
AzazelHarvestar · 26-30, M
@SW-User so I took a year and tried to make amends with them it's just hard for me to hangout with the both of them at the same time for obvious reasons
SW-User
@AzazelHarvestar I guess the best thing to do would be to just leave them both it would be hard but it's better than putting yourself through this torture all the time. Start hanging out with other friends and distract yourself maybe even start exploring other options.

It’s hard, obviously. You have to let yourself grieve, initially. Often throwing yourself into work and other activities that will distract you helps. And let your loved ones be there for you. Best wishes, I’ve been there.
