I so agree on the phony happiness. And also over positivity. To think we must [i]try[/i] to feel happy constantly, is unnatural and devalues authentic human emotions. I would much rather the genuine, even in sadness.

@Platoscave Ah. I'll have to check her out. Maybe it has to do with upbringing too. I came from a very reality setting, and you just deal with how it is, without the use of emotional band-aids or pacifiers so to speak.
