I Suffer From Severe Depression
My depression has cost me friendships it has cost me relationships it has cost me my health I just hope that I can get it controlled before it costs me my life 😟

@LyricalOne going Thursday going to ask them to give me medication talking hasn't helped so I'm gonna ask for medication I should have asked for help a long time ago but I was ashamed to admit how messed up I really am

@LyricalOne I should have never stopped taking the meds I used to take but I thought I could get through stuff without it but I was wrong I guess

@ExperienceDLT You have absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. You have an illness. Unfortunately it’s common to stop taking meds because there’s still such a stigma attached to mental illness that people believe they should magically be able to “tough it out.”
Good that you’re asking for help and please persist. Sometimes it takes several weeks for the meds to kick in and oftentimes dosages and or the meds themselves have to be adjusted. Just hang in there. You definitely can feel better!
