I Have Gained a Lot of Self Knowledge Through Depression

Indeed. Self awareness is freedom. Sucks to earn it through depression ...you got this. I got this. Just keep learning, keep striving and know you are always ENOUGH AND WORTHY. I am enough and I am worthy. Every damn day depression is a battle and people are shitty...but then you find that Gemstone of a person or something that helps you believe in something you didn't. Just remember this....YOU matter and YOU have a purpose or you wouldn't be here. So have a voice...find your passion and explode!

Such a dangerous line, but I do agree with you.

I remember being depressed, in any instance could cry find myself crying, and listening to Leonard Cohen's 'Avalanche' on a walk in the snow I couldn't help myself anymore and let go. Being in awe of simple snowflakes.

Now did that epiphany change me?
Yes and no, I still struggle - but it was the first time I took in many have to deal with this.

@SW-User You got this! It won't ever go away...but you can manage it and have some sort of control...it's like a sleeping tiger...always there...but have learned to keep it at bay. I relate to others who suffer & I continue to learn more about myself in the process...so when you see someone else struggling and you can relate...share your experience with them..that is how we all learn to heal and at least get by.

@Wolfdancer Yes, sadly I am learning to be a little less affected by people who I meet in real life. I'm not saying in their voiced expressions; I'm learning to be less affected by intuitions that might make me feel for them.

hmmm...could you elaborate on that?

@Wolfdancer I've learned I can be too affected; I'm actually stopping myself from reading body language/emotional cues, as likely I couldn't help anyway, and it is much for me. With friends and family I keep this as much as I can, and I don't deny the chance connecting with a person that I may not now,

@Wolfdancer Never just seen a sad face and want to be their friend?
