I Battle Depression

Trying to turn things around today. Music is on, Christmas decorations, making cookies with the kids, a trip to the park for a picnic....and yet I feel like I could break down in tears at any moment. I just don’t get it. How has this just crept up on me like this?! Or have I been ignoring it? Well it’s impossible to ignore now and it sucks.

@Pianist1234 Thank you for the advice. I have no one to talk to about this. I don’t want to admit to anyone the way I’m feeling. I don’t want to let anyone down. I will take some time tonight to try and focus on the root of my feelings.

@geoam1 Perhaps that’s all it is, but I hate to say I’ve felt this way for a few weeks now.

@Pianist1234 Thanks, That was a good read.
How physically active are you?

@NerdyNudist It’s not low self esteem or being deemed an ‘unattractive woman’. I am neither of those things.
@CareBear420 That wasn't what I was getting at. Low physical activity can lead to depressed levels of serotonin or oxytocin, endorphins etc.

A strenuous workout can often lift your spirits, especially if you make it a habit.

@NerdyNudist Oh, sorry for the misunderstanding. I’ve been doing some reading about depression and exercise is something Ive read that helps. I’ve been trying to get back into jogging lately. It’s something I used to enjoy but rarely had time for so now I’m trying to make time for it. My husband is going to watch the kids when he gets off work so I can jog tonight.
