I Battle Depression

Does anyone else suffer from mood swings with their depression. The smallest thing can set me off. I take two different meds for my depression. The one has helped level my moods. I know that as a woman my moods can swing with the hormones. I do try to control them. Thanks for reading!

Its a natural thing that happens with Anxiety and depression Blondie , its a word or a sentence or statement for the most innocuous reason that can set you off and you have no control or idea the reason for it, can go from calm to angry outburst in the snap of the finger , take me 4 years to get my meds in order but occasionally it still happens, just try to not let it get the best of you and know there are others dealing with the same problem and you aren't alone , if you ever need anyone to talk to , best wishes and good luck

Be a pleasure to chat and say hello Blondie
I no longer battle with it.
It is now a companion and my moods are the colors of paint that use.

Not always easy especially at our age. I find that talking to my family helps. Hubby knows to take it easy on me when a MOOD hits.

@myownvessel My husband does the same. He is very supportive!

Yes absolutely I believe it is just part of being depressed. Especially being a woman, we already deal with our hormones in a state of constant flux. If you don't mind I was curious what meds do you take?

@RebeccaRuth sorry to hear about your disorder. I hope you can find something that works as well as that one did. The trial and error of finding which meds work can be a rough road! If you need anyone to chat with you can always message me.

Yeah, I have probably tried most meds. The two lifesavers were always Wellbutrin and Remeron so no more Wellbutrin:( and although Remeron works wonders, it also creates massive cravings about 20min after I take it that I can't resist, and they are sugar cravings, so they cause massive weight gain. I love getting happy, but it's hard being so good with food and exercise all day and turning into a sugar zombie at night. So I am trying Zoloft with I would say minimal success. Don't know what to say to my dr.
I don't know what to ask to go back on now?
Ssri's are generally no good for me, and had many seizures trying MAOI so I don't know
Part of me for some strange reason misses being on lithium even though he says I don't need it. It has been more than a decade but I just remember feeling better then.

@RebeccaRuth I took Remeron and it knocked me out. It helped me sleep, but I was not on it very long. I would sleep 12-15 hours on that stuff. I have also taken Zoloft. That upset my stomach. It can be so frustrating trying to find the right meds!
