I went to get a second opinion. A long journey is ahead of me.

I mentioned in a an earlier post that I was diagnosed by Bipolar disorder T2 (where the mania is so subtle but the depression is important) and the consult was short and she gave me medication.

I was skeptical and wanted a second opinion.

I am just leaving the second doctor's office. She made the same diagnosis.
I suggested to take the medication after my big upcoming exam (a month later) since I'm feeling good overall. The episode of depression washed away a couple weeks earlier.
She agreed and said that I was going to actively help with the treatment's dosage, as a means to imply me more in the therapeutical approach. And gave the appointment 02 weeks after starting the treatment.

It looks like I'm embarking on a long, difficult journey... one that I never imagined myself having.

The whole thing is hard to grasp to be honest. I perhaps need a support system, and I can't afford that where I'm living.

I think SW has become a safe haven for me to talk about this, and the people have been supportive and understanding. These people definitely are making a change in someone's life and I'm grateful for them. 🙏

No. You don't monitor your own meds. Regardless of your profession.
I was the one who will monitor the treatment more, since I know the medication and their effects whatsoever, being a doctor myself.

@Friendlyperson I think the wording sounded like she was a quack

Be very careful who you say what to here, but there are people here who will be a great support system and will listen and try to give legitimate helpful suggestions
Good to know that sw is making you feel better. 🙂
