I hate how often the word gets thrown around and used. [I Have Bipolar 2]

I just saw a status that said "I wish the rain would stop being bipolar." I get it I do, but people assume that people with the illness are back and forth and not all of us are. I suffer major depressive episodes and my "high" are more like how a normal person feels when they're happy. It just sucks because it makes me want to hide it even more and I barley have support as is.

Yeah, if we as a society could not use mental afflictions so casually, that would be great. Just because you like organization does not make you have OCD, just because you're going through a rough time does mean you have depression, just because you have trouble concentrating at the moment does not mean you have ADD.

People have to live their whole lives with these things, and comparing a single moment to their whole life is kind of rude.
