@Ferise1 Thank you for sharing your experience, it has been interesting to read your story too. I'm just scared because when I speak with my family on WhatsApp sometimes I forget the words or I use English words, because I can't remember the Italian ones.
I'm writing a novel in Italian in my free time, but sometimes I have to use Internet to double check if the sentence is correct because it doesn't make sense in my head. Sometimes I even had to check the conjugation of some verbs, because I had completely forgotten them...
Like you, I try to use Internet to keep up with the language, but when I go back to Italy people now assume I'm English (because of my accent) and compliment me for my Italian 😑

Everyone has to double-check their writing, even in their native language, if the writing is something important or we want it to sound intelligent.
We get used to the daily spoken version (which is often sloppy) so come time to do it precisely, we often think, "Wait, is this correct? Is it the best wording?"
