This question is going to sound offensive to some, but I have no intention to offend, okay, I'm just stumped

But what I don't understand is that everyone is all about not being offensive, and being polite, saying things in a nice way, dont be rude etc,

And hey, that's great.
I love me some of that good ol tactfulness.
It's delicious.

But what I don't understand is that you get the same time of people telling everyone we should be patient with autistics because that's just their communication style...
And not to take offense easily because they don't mean to be offensive?

But the thing is, how do you know if they're autistic or not unless they tell you?

I mean, why should they have to tell anyone if they don't want to?

Wouldn't it be better just to not take offense by default?
Just try to understand the actual core of what someone is saying, instead of just brushing them off as a rude troll or XYZ?

I don't know if I'm autistic because every doctor says something different but I know that I have some sort of social disorder and the vast majority of people are quick to assume I'm dumb or rude.

It's how I learned to just talk to people as if I'm in an alternate reality where what they just said actually came out as politely as possible. Like just reimagining what they said but in the nicest way, and then responding to that instead of what they actually said.

I don't want to ever be treated like people treat me when I don't realize that what I did or said came off the wrong way.

Typing this out I realize I've sort of dropped the ball in terms of online people. Maybe it's time to pick it back up.
