So my psychiatrist is insistent that I have autism....

But I noticed that when I'm talking to her,
She jumps to conclusions and I'm the one who has to tell her to see nuances and a broader picture to what I'm trying to explain....

Yeah, seems legit 🤔

(Yeah yeah, I'm still ruminating about the appointment I had with her nearly 6 months ago... It's eating me, aight? Just let me vent.
She actually pretty nice, I'm just annoyed).

(((((HUGS))))) I am so very sorry she's just nonchalantly claiming asd, honestly I cannot understand why shrinks love to disagnose it so quickly 😢🤗❤

I think they like to diagnose so they can start some type of treatment plan, help the patient understand themselves better etc,
But unfortunately it can also be very gaslighty, especially if the patient doesn't relate to anything about the diagnosis
@Fishy What perplexes me is that 40 years ago autism was considered rare, maybe one in 150,000, now it's what, one in 36? Personally I think it's pseudopsychiatry constructed to explain how so many Millennials and younger have trouble dealing with life because my generation were such poor parents and blamed our parent's generation for all our problems, I mean seriously, my peers were really bad parents and didn't properly teach their kids how to cope, so shrinks took an already existing ailment and said asd is more common, it also started with the vaccine lies in the late 90's.
