So my psychiatrist is insistent that I have autism....

But I noticed that when I'm talking to her,
She jumps to conclusions and I'm the one who has to tell her to see nuances and a broader picture to what I'm trying to explain....

Yeah, seems legit 🤔

(Yeah yeah, I'm still ruminating about the appointment I had with her nearly 6 months ago... It's eating me, aight? Just let me vent.
She actually pretty nice, I'm just annoyed).

Welcome, Fellow Neurodivergent, to our WONDERFUL World!

@Guardian I have ADHD and relate to that,

But the asd label is giving me an identity crisis.

All the therapy work I've been doing about forgiveness and letting go of trauma is just resurfacing because I'm reflecting on why I did "autistic" things

The lack of eye contact, not engaging etc was because fear of people going apeshit.

But just like the rest of my life, when I try explaining it to people they don't listen 😒
@Fishy I have dyslexia, dyscalculia, ADD, PDD & PTSD. I did 20 years of CBT, took meds, but now only use CBD oil. I have difficulty processing emotions, and can get confused or misunderstand, or anger others with my bluntness. Clear direct communication is best for me.

I'm pleased to make your acquaintance!

I can relate to lack of eye contact, not engaging, and fear of people going apeshit, which I have discovered is mostly in my head.
