People don't really talk about it but as someone who probably has some degree of autism I ask, how does 'grounding' work?

Is it like surpressing a nervous energy?
Like, by means of a little opression of the human spirit?

Or is it lighter work than that, such as maybe by making sure you are speaking honestly?
I dunno, please help. 😣

Grounding is a way of regulating your nervous system, and getting yourself back to 'reality'. Specially in terms of ptsd, anxiety, dissociation and stuff.

Let's say you're panicking, so you start grounding techniques as a way to calm yourself and slow down the feelings that are triggering your panic attack.

Not sure about autism
