I overheard one of my cousins saying they would never in a million years date an autistic person. Was that mean or what?

So yesterday my cousin that I don’t really talk to came over to see grandma and grandpa. Since my late mother abandoned me, most of my family accept my grandparents, don’t really speak to me or not in my life. I see them but they ignore me but anyways I was playing a game on my phone and I heard two of my one of my cousins saying, “Look I would never in a million years date an autistic person. It’s not the autism, it’s the person that acts a certain way and I don’t wanna have to put up with that mess and stress.” Then another one said, “Frankly I prefer someone that is non-autistic. If I found out that person is autistic or they told me, I would let him down gently. That’s just my brutally honest feelings. I feel bad for any guy that ends up with (my name). They way she acts and does these weird ass things? That needs to stop and she needs to start acting like us. She’s too old for those “autistic” behaviors. It’s bad enough having her in our family as it is.”
I told my grandparents and they told me it was very rude of them to say but they are allowed to have an opinion, and preference on what they like. Wow…..that’s not what I wanted to hear. 😭😭
