Teachers are pretty terrible when it comes to things like that. I once tried explaining to a teacher that my attention span was short and she told me to grow up.

bleck. I love it at work. One manager knows another with ADHD. They are really patient and don't get mad. One time I was asking two managers what to do, but wasn't speaking full sentences. The other manager looked at me really funny. The first manager understood sentene with every some multiple of words. X D Bwahahahahahahahah

Your teacher is correct. ADHD is controllable if trying really hard. You are managing it or you wouldn't be as far in education as you are. You will get past it, keep going! Find ways around what distracts you.

@Gumba1000: Neuroscience major, psychology and computer science minors. My end goal at the moment is I want to research some kind of mental disorder. I want to be a lab tech though, because I don't think I could make it through grad school.

@kimtin33: Your choices seem incompatible to me. But I am sure you consulted someone whom told you to take allof them. In my country you would have just had to study IT to be the lab tech.
To reasearch you need to be able to concentrate and remember. If you can't do thos things you can't research. You can however process someone elses research as a lab tech.

@Gumba1000: I just took a lot of them, because I was interested in all of them. Psychology helps the neuroscience one and there is a lot of overlap. Computer science is just fun.
Honestly if I couldn't do research, I have no idea what I'd do. Lab techs do research too, they just work under others. When I've done research in labs here, I've worked on a project on my own. The head of the lab offered help to me along the way and it was something they were interested in researching and I was assigned.
