Why does every second person think they have adhd

Everywhere I go every second person has adhd, if you go on reddit every post is about their adhd. I genuinely don’t believe this many people have broken brains. Some people are animated, spirited, have creative wild minds and are not suppose to be steady, focused, rote or rational. Also I think the younger generation have grown up online and have because of it have withering spans of attention. Really tired of every second person claiming adhd.

I think everywhere you go as in on Reddit and SW and teen crowded online social media's isn't adequate stats of all the people in the world. If you look at mental health topics online you'll find ADHD among many other posts since people who's struggling mentally are more likely to post about it. The other part of the explanation is today it's socially acceptable (more or less) to share about mental illness and therefor you see an explosion of such posts. It doesn't mean everyone in the entire would has ADHD. It just means online MH forums and topics are popular today.
