I'm surprised a medical professional has not been able to help you with this. You should not have to suffer this long. I’m really sorry you’ve been fighting depression for so long. That sounds exhausting and lonely at times. You’re not alone in that struggle, even if it feels that way. What has helped you get through the hardest days, even a little?

Sometimes depression can feel like it’s been part of us forever, but that doesn’t mean it can’t change or ease with the right support and people around us.

More practical. It’s based on cognitive behavioral therapy and gives tools for managing negative thoughts step by step. Often recommended by clinicians.

4. The Comfort Book – Matt Haig

Short reflections and gentle reminders that people do come through dark seasons. Less structured, more like small lifelines of encouragement.
