I believe that it's both the intent and the target(s) which define whether it's malicious trolling which would fit the kind of character described. If the aim is not to antagonise or victimise anyone, or the person being trolled is the clear evil in the room, then the agenda is different and so will be the person behind it.
@UBotMate being silly as you described is not trolling, it is more to bring laughter or fun to people like you. Not hurt them so I don't even consider that trolling
