is there anything wrong with being nervous at times

i have a nervous disposition and are often nervous in public settings...and the reason i ask is because some people online seem to say negative things about nervousness, like your being weak, inferior or a beta male and that is not the case necessarily....i have a nervous disorder because i deal with ptsd related to violent trauma i suffered in the past, where i was violently attacked in public, due to me having public outbursts.....so i get nervous for totally legit- understandible reasons, nothing to do with inferiority, weakness or a beta male.

any thoughts?

No, there's nothing wrong with it. I didn't get hired for a job once because the interviewer said I was nervous during the interview, when I didn't think I was. Turned out it was for the best that I didn't get hired. Nervousness is not fun but it deserves no criticism from anybody else.

@darkmere1983 Sure thing. As somebody else said in here, you might want to consult some kind of counselor to help you deal with your situation and make things better. I've done that. But nervousness is not some kind of personal weakness. Not at all.
