so losing your job, feels like a loss of survival capacity,, and to some extent it is
but the choices of
if I lose this job i should die,,
misses some alternatives.
here is s silly and simple one
Run Away, abandon the life you have, in favor of another,,even if you have no idea what it might be,
I do not know if you have family, and if you do, self termination is not a kind thing to do to them
some would say it would be cruel to run away , but it is less so than to leave a corpse, that cannot be queried about the why of it
if you do not have dependents. then it is easy, get rid of or store all your stuff.
(you would if you self terminate)
change where you live, change HOW you live.
a month ago i was working at a remote work site,, and one of the volunteers was clearly distressed and i had to keep better track of them to stop them from walking off into the desert, and perishing.
turns out she had left 2 teen sons in the care of some relative and ran off to "find" herself
we helped her, she faced her tribulation and eventually went back to that family
I am sure you can come up with reasons why this is an unsatisfactory answer
my point is,,, life,, even if in an entirely new way,, is an option
there are more choices than stay in this job , or die.
there is always a third alternative
