Has anyone just stopped caring after being defeated time and time again by forces beyond your control?

Because I am almost at that point. If I lose this job, I no longer care what happens to me. If I had a firearm, it would have been over for me already.

Please don't say that. Apart from so many reasons why it's a bad idea there are also stories and pictures of victims who attempted to end it that way but survived and that's one of the worst things that can ever happen to you.
