Will my mental illness make my parents think I don’t like them?

My parents are getting older and I’m suffering from anxiety and depression. I want to enjoy my time with them now that they’re getting older but I am always sad and angry. I can’t enjoy my time or at least find it very hard to. I don’t really talk to them to much even though I want to connect to them more because I am depressed and feel lonely even when I’m around other people. What can I do to help myself? I don’t want my parents to think I don’t enjoy their company I am just going through things mentally right now.

If you feel comfortable, you can try telling them that sometimes you aren't in the mood because of what you are going through. Try to make them understand why your behaviour is like that and I'm sure they will be there for you to help you. I also suggest going to a therapist in case i don't help in any way, and you'll parents do know that you love spending time with them even if you don't show it
Tell them that.

Tell your parents. They will understand and will love you even more.
