Do you ever not respond to friends because you feel like you can’t and then they keep texting and it goes on too long

I think most people can relate, on some level, to losing touch with those around them when they're feeling unwell. I would hope your friends of all people would be forgiving of that.

i'm the one texting incessantly. Being cut off from my friend makes me very anxious. I know about their mental health struggles so when they're not keeping in touch it is extremely worrisome for me. :(

We all should be allowed to shut out the world once in a while. If they're real friends they'll understand.

Yep 😬 I've done that many times over the years resulting in many lost friendships. Such is the nature of being mentally unstable. In the end I just cut everyone off because it was easier than managing expectations. I don't recommend that strategy though, unless you're able to be happy without friends.
