Post anything daily or as you need about your journey through Mental Illness and also feel free to share any trials and successes in regards to unhealthy coping skills (ie self harm, starving, flushing meds, ect. [just please no graphic specifics as it can be very triggering]) Just a safe place to share stuff without ridicule or shame. Where we can support each other with positivity, kindness, and also compassion. 🖤

Everyone is welcome to use this thread to talk about issues they’ve had with Mental Illness and struggles for Mental Wellness. 🦋

12 days until I say I do. I love her with my entire being, but I’m not sure it’s fair to ask her to stay hitched to my shit and my problems, until death do us part. It’s honestly what keeps me up at night. Ugh.

@JustGoneNow Nobody thinks it's fair to ask a loved one to stay hitched to them and their shit, no matter what kind of struggles or problems a person has. That's just a sign of selfless love.
I had those thoughts, my friends have all had those thoughts. Everyone does. It's ok to have those thoughts. I had two days of feeling nervous about a week or two beforehand.

You know what's great? She's choosing to be with you. And you are choosing to be with her. And that's an important part of what makes a strong, happy, fulfilling, beautiful partnership.

@JustGoneNow some remarkable people are remarkably loyal to their vows. Look at my wife I gave her endless reasons to leave me in the drinking days but still here 30+ years further on.

@JustGoneNow ultimately it's her choice to stay hitched, not yours. She determined it was fair and worth it- she knows what she's in for and still signing up. I was a bundle of nerves and last minute doubts the few weeks before I got married too.

@Starcrossed that’s what my Mum always says. I don’t get to choose for her. It’s hard, though. I just love her so much.
