What's the deal with sandwiches having names?

Seriously I don't understand. Are they namd after people? Is it to be pretentious? Why does it seem to be an exclusively American thing (from the few times I've seen it)?

@bijouxbroussard I know, I know. I actually think I can recognize which is the demographic that would do anything like that.. red hat, pick-up, Monster energy drink, semi-automatic rifle.. and possibly, belonging to the realm of Florida? 😅
