I’m becoming dependent upon alcohol 😔
As if I didn’t already have enough issues… lately, I have only been able to feel happy if I drink alcohol. When I don’t, I’m sad. Alcohol makes me feel free

I reached a stage where I was having a tot of whisky in my morning coffee before going off to work. It was quite a few years before I broke the habit of drinking to excess - in my case it was falling in love which was the catalyst. As @Lhayezee said, we're all different so the solutions are going to be different
