It is either online poker or this.....Decisions decisions decisions.

@TwiddlerofThumbs Yes, but the problem is the fact that you get caught up in it and lose all sense of time and have to work in the morning and will be tired as shit.
@StevenIzzi well, right. But at least you enjoyed your time not sleeping rather than loathing it.

@TwiddlerofThumbs Very true my friend, very true.

I try to do something that doesn't take up too much brainpower and is relaxing. Usually I watch an episode of a series (the trick there for me is not to watch till the end of the episode because then something thrilling happens that makes you want to watch the next lol). Likewise with reading a book :D
Tonight I am doing this. My pain level is too high for sleep.
I have Neurontin/gabapentin for pain but hate how it makes me feel.@TwiddlerofThumbs
@FlowersNButterflies I;ve heard that Gabapentin makes you feel really really heavy.
Yeah, a real downer. Sluggish. Unmotivated. Just weird! @TwiddlerofThumbs
If it eludes me long enough, I take a Valium.
@TwiddlerofThumbs I've never taken Paxil. I was on Zoloft many years ago. It made me crazy.
@PhoenixPhail I think that's the one who threw an acquaintance of myInto seizure. I've heard very little good about it.
@TwiddlerofThumbs It wouldn't surprise me. All meds are poisons of one kind or another. I was dizzy and couldn't even see straight the whole time I was on it.

Toss and turn, trying to at least feel comfortable.
@SW-User I think that is a lot of it tonight. I can't relax. I can't get comfortable.

@TwiddlerofThumbs Sorry, that sucks, .... a suggestion is to lighten the mood with comedy for example, laughing can loosen ya up, and then with the least amount of pressure on yourself, try again.
@SW-User very good advice. maybe it will get my head in a happier, better place.
Depends. I often try and tire my mind out with puzzles and games, exercise, knit, watch tv. But I try to sleep at some point, otherwise I’ll pay for it the next day and be sleepless the next night, as well.
@bijouxbroussard usually, I have a routine. And of I follow the routine my brain goes along with it. But not last night. I think it gave on about 4:30 and only for an hour or so... so uncooperative!! It has to let me sleep tonight. If not, I may take up knitting.

Read a Book, Watch a movie, go for a walk.
Anything but lay in bed hoping to sleep
@Gusman I would walk but it is smokey as hell outside.... I read the book. A silly movie might be the thing.
Thank you 😁
Think about every stupid thing I’ve ever said or done.
@Invocations Those are “fun” nights. I try to distract myself from doing that.
