How do you combat projection when its used on you?

I let them know it's a projection. I don't take it personally and I don't indulge their projection any further.

@thinkingoutloud yeah, i've actually tried that yesterday on a friend of mine that I always banter with. For someone that loves to talk and banter he had very little to say after 🤣
