I Find Psychology Interesting

Your shadow is made up of all the traits and tendencies that you have but try to repress and distance yourself from because they don't fit with the identity you have chosen for yourself.

To find these traits and tendencies you have to look at who you judge and what it is you judge them for... and there they will be, staring you in the face.

Something to keep in mind next time you come across a very judgemental person :)

Well now, this says a whole lot about my mother in law. What exactly I don't know, as she seems to judge everyone for absolutely everything..

@Kuronekko: I am sitting here trying to figure her out.. She is really cynical and thinks the worst of people all the time.. then the judging..
Maybe she's just crazy..

@MightyAphrodite: People like that are usually raised with a lot of guilt, is she religious?

@Kuronekko: She is, if she didn't meet her husband, she could have ended up being a nun, her sister is a nun, they were raised to believe being a nun or a priest is the best vocation..
Her husband is a humanist and goes against her thoughts and beliefs, so I think she finds that hard, she ends up agreeing with him, even though that isn't her own views.
She has agreed to have a paupers funeral for instance, no fuss, get buried in a basket type coffin of somekind.. it's all kinda strange.

@MightyAphrodite: Sounds like there are probably a whole bunch of things she would have wanted to do and express but being religious often means people feel watched so they keep everything pushed down at all times, even in their own minds. Repression is a terrible thing for a human mind.
