Those who know of Déjà vu, what do you think of it, technically?

I think the scientific “rational” explanation would be that our brain is latching on to something that feels familiar or matches something that we’ve experienced that is vaguely like the thing triggering dejavu… Like a falsely recalled memory. It is like a glitch in our memory system.

But as someone who has experienced a LOT of dejavu, it “feels” intrinsically like I have dreamed things that later happened. Like, in the moment I am absolutely certain of it. Almost like I have found a loophole in the fabric of time.

This is one of the reasons it is dangerous to have certainty about what our brain tells us about anything. It isn’t always reliable and it doesn’t always behave in a way that we can trust. Things that feel supernatural to us might just be our brain glitching out.
