I'm confused

I told my parents that I'm gonna pursue psychology, and they said that it's not promising (meaning that it isnt popular and doesn't have many job opportunities, saying it's hard to find job in that course.) I really wanna hear your thoughts about it. Maybe you could also give advice. Thank you so much!

I had the same desire, I was always attracted to psychology, I got the same answer from my father. I listened to him and at his persuasion I enrolled in economics..
I'm not sure if I chose well, I think I would have made a better choice if I had chosen what I was interested in...
I still have a great passion for psychology..
I think that psychology offers countless possibilities as far as possible jobs are concerned... Especially at this time when this profession is increasingly in demand.
