I Love Psychology and Philosophy
Life is “I want”.
“I don’t want to get up, I want to sleep.”
“I want to eat something sweet right now.”
“I don’t want them to think I’m __________.”
“They’re such an _____________, they didn’t even reciprocate after all I gave, I want them to be fair.”
How do we treat someone who doesn’t give us what we want?
How do we react when what we want is nowhere to be found?
Exactly.
Isn’t it interesting?
How life is simply... wants.
That’s it.
I want to be happy.
I want to be desired and appreciated.
I want to be protected.
I want to be alone.
I want space.
I want to know why.
I want entertainment right now.
I want to experience pleasure.
I want to forget.
I don’t want pain that I can’t handle or won’t help me “grow”.
I want money to pay my bills, eat, have clothes, and shelter.
I want company so I don’t get bored.
I don’t want to be alone with my thoughts.
I want to win.
I want to be recognized.
I want to be remembered.
I want to leave a legacy.
I want those I love, who in turn are those who I find pleasing, to prosper.
I want to be brave and not be afraid.
Who would’ve known right?
That this life could be summarized in two small words...
