Not long ago I learned avalanches kill more people than grizzly bears.
I was afraid of bears but didn’t give either much thought.
I’ve never seen either a grizzly bear or an avalanche except for videos.
I made up my mind to quit worrying about either one. So they’re off my “Things that might kill me prematurely” list.
I suppose it’s possible for a bear to escape captivity, and seek me out, but that’s highly unlikely.

@Mamapolo2016 But if it did happen, you'd bear it:)

@Zeusdelight Unless it’s an avalanche. Then I’d just chill.

@Mamapolo2016 If you want I can sell you a magic rock that protects from both avalanches and bears.
Don’t laugh, I’ve never had an issue with either here in urban SoCal since I got it 😉

@Zaphod42 And your proof of effectiveness is, “look around SoCal! Do you SEE any avalanches or bears? I rest my case.”

@Mamapolo2016 My gosh, you’re right! I’m accidentally protecting all of SoCal! I should be charging for this service 🤔

@bijouxbroussard Ok, maybe I should limit my claims of effectiveness to Costa Mesa 😅
