True. It is unfortunate that some people mistake another's natural inclination to be kind, as an expectation they should be able to treat them like a doormat.

@basicpoet33 Yeah. Surely a person can't be genuinely 'good', kind or compassionate, unless they allow themselves to be treated in a way that is not acceptable to them.

Of course you can, @Queendragonfly. I replied in a not at all serious way, in response to what I thought was meant by "or as a phony". I may have been wrong about how I perceived the comment I replied to, but my reply was sarcasm.
