I was at Boots (a shop) the other day and I needed validation at the self checkout for an energy drink

a lady came over and quite tensely I said "hiya😐"
and very slow and calmly she went "helloooo :)"

i needed that
women, you calm us down sometimes.

I have to be checked at the self-scan when I buy a rum-baba cake. We usually have a laugh about it as the barely-adult assistant presses the right keys.
