I was at Boots (a shop) the other day and I needed validation at the self checkout for an energy drink

a lady came over and quite tensely I said "hiya😐"
and very slow and calmly she went "helloooo :)"

i needed that
women, you calm us down sometimes.

I can't buy scissors, knives, alcohol or cigarettes without ID, which I don't have.

Haha I had a look... You're in the US right? Apparently you can get a photo ID at the DMV, one that is different from a driving license.

@Ghoulie I have since learned you are in the UK. Here's the pass card you can get, again different from a driving license, literally just a card to show your age: https://www.postoffice.co.uk/identity/pass-card
