@Diotrephes depression, he tried to take his own life. They think he depression medication cause it to be worse and that's why he tried too do it. He's on different meds now. He is not violent in any way and would never hurt anyone.

Yes, if he was in hospital for his mental health in the first place, being home alone just now might not be the best for him.

At least, not until he settles into the routine of taking his medicine as it was prescribed to him at the very least. It might help him to see others taking their medicines as well, I know that tends to help me to get into a routine (though, I haven't taken my B12 since April 24th, shh...).
