So my buddy is being released tomorrow

He's getting out and he's coming back to our house. With his daughter living with us there is no way he could go home to his apartment right now.

He is being enrolled into a very intense outpatient 12-week program where he will go to many different therapy sessions 3 days a week for up to 4 to 6 hours a day. He most go to all of them in person. He can't miss one day. He also has to keep taking his medicine. At any time if anyone is a therapist he works with fills he is in a bad place he will be placed back on a 96-hour hold.

This way he will be around his family and his friends and he will also be able to work while he's doing this program. Joel and I talked for a very very long time along with Star and we decided this was the best and safest plan for him right now.

So tomorrow when Joel and I get off work we're going to pick him up and bring him home. His therapy plans start on Thursday. He will also go on Friday, then starting next week he will go Monday Wednesday Friday for 12 weeks.

I honestly feel a thousand percent better in like a huge weight has been lifted off of my shoulders with this decision I think it's for the best.

Yes, if he was in hospital for his mental health in the first place, being home alone just now might not be the best for him.

At least, not until he settles into the routine of taking his medicine as it was prescribed to him at the very least. It might help him to see others taking their medicines as well, I know that tends to help me to get into a routine (though, I haven't taken my B12 since April 24th, shh...).
Best wishes to all of you. He and Star are very fortunate to have friends like you and Joel.

@Levenrack thank you. Like I said he's family to us and I can't turn my back on him

@Poppies thank you. He needs us right now and we all agree this was the best choice for him right now.
