Me having conversations with Alzheimer's Patients at work ...

Just warms my heart.

Anne: Have you seen my mother? (Anne's 99 years old)

Me: No not today but i'm sure she's thinking about you right now.

Anne: (with a huge smile) says that is so nice!

Anne: is it cold outside?

Me: No! But i can order some snow and have it delivered here by Christmas

Anne : (With the biggest smile ever) thank you! And then she hugs me.

Moments like this makes it all worthwhile!

You're an angel. My late grandmother in law suffered from dementia and she would often ask for her mother as well. Now I'm seeing the woman that largely raised me suffer with Alzheimer's and it is hard.

@PepsiColaP My wife had it with her mother and now shes got it with her sister. She's in Wales most weekends with her as her sister and brother in lw of them bought a house in the wilds of Abergavenny and he cant cope. There's a lot to say for kind good neighbours in a built up area.

@AngelUnforgiven i dont see it as "sorry" I see it as part of life - or is that part of death. Thing is at least they themselves are usually not aware of it.
