thought i would ask the question that he refused to allow on his trans thread and mental illness.

why is gender dysmorphia the only mental condition that people praise, encourage and support body mutilation as a form of treatment?
We do not encourage it anywhere else and all other mental conditions are treated with treating the mind.
Would you allow or encourage a schizophrenic person who has delusions that make him/her want to self harm? no, of course not.
Why is this any different?

this is not a anti trans thread before people come here with their fake outrage. Its a anti everyone thread. Those who actually support body mutilation as a form of treating a mental condition and certainly a anti you thread if you support this with children

Characterizing it as mutilation seems unfair. If you're born with a club foot or cleft palate the treatment is surgical correction. The natural response to growing up with either of these uncorrected would understandably be significant mental distress.

Gender dysphoria is the equivalent mental response to being born in the wrong body.

@Doomflower nah that seems to fit perfectly when we are talking genatalia being cut and turned inside out and so on to healthy bodies.

gender dysphoria is a mental condition that makes people feel like they were born in the wrong body. I dont believe treating a mental condition with a physical treatment is the right way to go. Hence my comparison to schizophrenics.
To go more into it. There was a schizophrenic who believed he had something inside his head moving around and tried to cut apart the top of his head to be able to get it out.
Should doctors have encouraged that and done it for him?
yes its a different scenario but both mental conditions and both having a condition that makes the person think something is wrong with there body and it needs to be cut into to be made better. Only one gets encouraged and praised though.
Same thing with those people who feel like they should have born with no legs. Should doctors remove healthy legs to help their mental condition?
no obviously not.
Mental conditions should be treated with mental treatments
