Going to police station tomorrow

I know half of you don’t believe me. Thankfully this isn’t for you. But to the girl who will read this and stealing my pictures. I am going to the police station tomorrow. It’s too late to go now but trust me I am beyond fed up of these accounts and I will get you done for identity theif and harassment. And I still have screenshots from when you was doing this two last year so don’t worry I have enough evidence now

Thanks. I don’t like admitting it online as I’ve been trying to scare her by saying the police are doing something but it’s clearly not scaring her and still doing it. But yeah they haven’t I’ve reported it twice and they say no crime has been committed. But this was when it first started to happened and had about maybe 4 accounts & hadn’t happened for long. Now I have like probably over 10 accounts and been happening for ages now. And when I spoke to the police last time they said because it hasn’t been happening long it wouldn’t even come under harassment so I’m guessing now it could come under that?
How do you go about civil matters?

@deleted09 I don't know about that. I do know that the admins claim that if you contact them directly about the matter, they'll do something. They say they take identity theft pretty seriously. Try emailing them at support@similarworlds.com.
Evidence ......smewshidence. Once you post ANY picture online you automatically give up all ownership for that pic. Once an image is uploaded to the internet it is no longer your property. By uploading a pic you in effect gave that pic to the world...... to use in any way anyone who can copy it wants to use it. You need to wake up if you think "you" have the sole rights to any pic you post on a public,.....worldwide forum............the internet.

@anythingoes477 people worry about their pictures being stolen but there is so much competition for attention on the internet that some random person uploading a photo is probably not going to be a problem because it will just drown in the sea of the billions of other pictures.

Actually, copyright law is rather interesting on that subject. I've been dealing with it myself regarding my copyrighted character, Corvus Blackthorne. I won't bore you with the details, but If the OP can prove ownership of the pictures, they can sue. This was proven in 2010 when Carlos Ramirez, the creator of the now-famous trollface rage comics, registered his creation TWO YEARS after everyone started using it, and he is now fairly wealthy.
@LordShadowfire Can you name even one person that has EVER copywriten pics if themselves that they post to social media? Apples and oranges.

doesnt sound like something the police will do much about.
My brother made a website when we were in high school, kinda like a horror themed thing where we would go out and try taking these creepy style photos. The site became a bit of a hit and soon enough found out someone stole a pic of me, was only my hand but a lot of work went into it. Anyway, it sucks when you see photos of yourself online and someone trying to claim its them.
Its weird and I am sure much more in your case incredibly creepy. I truly hope something is done about it and your pics stay yours alone without some loser trying to catfish off of you

Most recent fake account of me

“My mum passed away” fml can you imagine if my family found that. My mum is well and truly alive

Just thought I’d update that I haven’t gone back to the police got a bit scared and yeah don’t think they’ll do anything

But when I was drunk I told my sister and friends about this and said if ever was to unlikely come across it, it’s not me saying these sorts under my name and face.

So I feel a bit better knowing they know that & if someone I knew offline every came across it will believe me as already made my sister & friends aware so they can back me up

Thanks. My face isn’t on this site atm. I just keep finding them. Through apps I’ve brought and stuff. I’m still going to go to the police station tomorrow and hope they can point me in the right direction

I do not think the police are going to launch much of an investigation just because someone used someone else's photo on a silly web forum.

@CestManan
It’s been over 10 times. And saying things like my mum is dead and seems I’m not the only one she uses & she’s targeting vulnerable people

It likely wouldn't be a criminal matter as it doesn't qualify as identity theft. At best you could try for copyright infringement but that's a civil matter.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
Hey, if you can get them to do something about that, go for it. I had somebody pull that shit on Yahoo for years, and I never thought that the police might help, but what's the worst they can say?
