I was suddenly having panic attacks whenever I entered a supermarket or a drug store, places I had patronized thousands of times before without any problem. My doctor put me on clonazepam, and the panic attacks went away immediately. I would caution you that clonazepam is addictive, but compared to not being able to leave the house, it was a real life saver for me.
