Does anyone not find it jarring how normalized porn is?

Like, if you actually spell it out it's really, really, abnormal behavior. You sit at a computer, watching people take off their clothes and have sex. You're in no way participating, and they don't even know you exist. Let's also couple it with the fact that a lot of the "performers" you're watching are there against their will (not physically forced, but probably tricked/trafficked/left with no other choice) and would probably not be there if they had a choice. Also note the fact that these "performers" also need to be on drugs to keep the show going.

Its vile. And some so called science magazines try to tell you porn is healthy even though it literally rewires your brain like so many other addictions do.

human trafficking is a real issue. sex workers deserve rights and protection, like any other occupation. imo sex work is something that's always going to be around, so why deny them the safety? some people do enjoy it, others do it only for the money. overall i think it's healthier to have partnered sex as porn can be a real addiction for some people, but i also see no shame in celebrating sexuality. it all depends on if it's done in a consenting, respectable environment where human rights are part of the package.
