Is it possible to be "on the spectrum" but have mild symptoms that don't interfere with daily living?
So let's say a child was born without any mental illnesses. The doctors didn't diagnose anything on the child, but the child had some problems will noise levels because it hurt their ears (sensitive). They grew up having some nervous ticks but it was more like something soothing for them to do until they learned a new tick and continued until a new tick came about and another.
- has anxiety but no anxiety attacks
- really nervous most times
- sensitive to loud sounds and movement and heights
- was called in primary school to take tests concerning images to see how the child would respond
- zoned out sometimes until someone brings them back to reality (head in clouds)
- really timid but can stare into people's eyes and stare at people, sometimes looks away from looking into people's eyes
- overthinking
- likes things to be organized but not totally
- people describes child to have monotone voice and sounds robotic when talking
- interested in specific things and chats nonstop about it
I'm not sure if this is Asperger's. Are there websites to check to see if one knows social cues. I'm good at describing people's facial expressions but not sure about body language.
I scored 21 out of 55 something on one of the Asperger's tests called 14 something. If it's 14 or higher, it means you're on the spectrum. I also scored in the 20s for another test but forgot the name. Am no longer a child. I'm almost in my 20s.
Thx.
