Orchestral and other music often very loosely called "classical". Much of it is not Classical but of styles from Baroque, sometimes earlier, to contemporary.
Not only if upset but it's also my preference when driving long distances in difficult conditions, to help keep me calm.
I don't have my own selection of music for this, but rely on the far greater range offered by Radio Three, which also has the bonus of being very friendly and welcoming, and treating listeners as intelligent grown-ups.
(I don't mind 1960s-70s pop music, that of my generation after all, but I find pop radio, including day-time Radio Two, stress-raising rather than calming. It's not the music that annoys me, though I don't like the modern styles anyway, but being patronised by the intervening, artificially cheery, blether.)
