13 million gallons of water gone and not paid for by a data center in GA. temps are 4-5 degrees hotter around them. They use massive amounts of water and electricity (largely placing the cost on locals). Run off water is a problem (dirty). And they emit noise that gives people actual health problems. People have sold their houses and uprooted their lives just to escape its so severe at times.
You are right though. it seems like even statistically this is the one thing both sides can agree on. Past couple months support for data center has dropped from 60-70% to 40%. Though that number might be outdated now.
