Post a funny or ironic saying.

Here is one I really like:
" I can tell if a person is judgmental just by looking at them."

''He who laughs last . . . pretends he got the joke.''

@LilMissAnonyMOUSE this sounds Confucian
@BlueGreenGrey It might be his or some variation of his philosophies☺We have turned the sage philosopher into a comic as well and I would not be surprised to know that he had a great sense of humor. I think of him as having sat upon a rock near a road, observing people's behavior as they passed by and surely, he felt both the need to cry and at other times the need to laugh☺
@LilMissAnonyMOUSE I think my mind was channeling partial memories of a litany of «Confucius say» jokes I must've heard while growing up, and in hindsight I can see how that could possibly be a little cringey, especially if delivered in a caricatured Chinese broken English accent, so I like what you envisioned instead, with him observing from a rock and reacting in different ways based on what he saw, that seems more authentic, very plausible, more humanized, and inoffensive 😊

If Confucius was too serious, and his humor streak was dry or subtle, we know less about the personality of his son, so we can use artistic license and imagine the son got the comic gene, forming a sort of yin and yang cycle between them 😊
@BlueGreenGrey Yes, I have seen those, some jokes are actually funny but yes, I guess they want to get into the character and not think that exaggerating accents could hurt feelings.

I think a wise man doesn't become one unless he is a well-rounded individual able to feel all kinds of emotions and understand them. I think what sets them apart is their having reached a high level of temperance, something common people like so many of us may have a hard time achieving. I have read he had a son, although I haven't come across much information about him. I'd like to think Confucius imparted his wisdom to his son and one of the ways to have a healthy frame of mind is by having a sense of humor...so I'm sure they had some good laughs together ☺
@LilMissAnonyMOUSE I agree with you on all of this and have always appreciated the broad perspective you have on all things 😊

Some are indeed funny, perhaps they are harmless in print, I feel like saying more but perhaps I need to save it for a post, I don't want to hijack anyone else's post 😊
